linux-HA heartbeat question

heartbeat can only be used with programs that can be started with the "<program> start" format such as:

sshd start
httpd start
vsftpd start

and so on...

i want to use heartbeat to failover iptables in the event of a firewall crash. iptables' start syntax is as follows:

service iptables start

so im not sure if thatll work. if this doesnt work, is there a workaround such as an alternative way of starting iptables? or can i write a script taggin service iptables start to something like firewall start?

thanks

Yes it should work since that is how samba and httpd are started as well. They are started by heartbeat in the Heartbeat "getting Started with Linux-HA (heartbeat) guide on their homepage.
