Exclamation jabber server ssl


I'm running a jabber server on a debian sarge stable kernel 2.6.8.I want to give ssl to my users but i can't make jabberd to listen on the port 5223 i have choosen for ssl.The tag , in jabber.xml , <ssl /> acts like <ip /> and i have <ssl port='5223'>192.168.1.4<ssl/> certficatekey.pem also <key ip='192.168.1.4'>/etc/jabber/ssl/certkey.pem</key> but i never see jabberd listening on 5223 port .I was at jabber.org but they lack of servers' configurations does anyone can help me ???
I invite anyone to help me on this to register at jabber.gabrix.ath.cx,ciao !!!
