Hi All,
I recently created vm box with Linux Mint, but im having issue adding multiple nameservers. My VM is set up with NAT.The issue i'm having is, if i set my DNS to 8.8.8.8 through network manager, im not able to resolv names on internal network, but if i change dns settings to use the internal server i cant resolv anything on internet. I tried everything i could think of, until my system got messed up.
Not sure about the internal dns server config. I don't have access to it. What i recently tried was editing /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf/head
and adding few dns entries. Also, commented out dns=dnsmasq line in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf then restarted network manager.
When i do cat /etc/resolv.conf , i can see the dns entries i made in dhslient.conf, but when i right click on network-manager and click on Connection Information ,i don't see any DNS
Also, i just used nslookup and found out that when i do nslookup www.yahoo.com i get:
[code]
;; Got recursion not available from a.a.a.a , trying next server
[code]
