is the problem with lan card?


i have two os's on my machine,which are windows and linux.when i was using windows net is working when i switched to linux its not working and even its not detecting.iam using fedora core 2(2.6.9).why it is happening like that.please ,can anybody help me .........

Are YOU using an internal modem in YOUR computer? Switching to an external RS-232 serial modem is the answer than. They are inexpensive, plug in to the serial port on YOUR Motherboard, and Linux Distros will load the hardware at reboot. M$Windows needs to go through the Device Manager.
