ipw2200 module no longer loads

Hi,

I have an Intel 2200 wireless network card in my laptop and also an Conexant analog modem. The wireless card used to work excellent using the ipw2200 driver module. The modem also works using the Linuxant HSF drivers.

A couple of days ago I was in France and had to reconfigure the analog modem using hsfconfig (configuration utility that is part of the Linuxant driver). All worked well except that the module for the wireless modem (which is completely unrelated to the modem) does no longer load. In dmesg I get:

ipw2200: Unknown parameter `/dev/ttySHSF[0-9]*'

The /dev/ttySHSF is the device created and used by the analog modem driver. Googling gives me nothing.

does anybody have an idea?

There's probably a typo in your /etc/modules.conf.
