Question iptables- how to list all rules?


using iptables -L would not show -i or -o (input or output devices)

anyone know how to display comlete set of rules. Gets confusing if you have long list of tables some specified with ip addresses and some with devices

iptables -L -v should do it for you.

yes thanks a lot, it doesn't say anything about -v switch in manuals

I think its sort of "left over" from ipchains.

I should have known, but was trying to be smart with probing parameters like -i -d -s ..
