ipsec encryption between 2 servers on an ipv6 local link

I've been working on connecting a Debian machine and a FreeBSD machine on their local links.

I have the configs and some output here:
http://pastebin.com/f709b9715

ping6 works on the local link without the encryption, but not with. tcpdump shows nothing.
Could anyone give me some tips on what I might be doing wrong or how I can figure out what is happening? Any help at all would be appreciated.
I also see a weird thing: the Debian machine list one extra policy, one that's not configured in it's file. An explanation for this could be of help too.

I still have not been able to solve this problem, so I hope you don't mind that i bump this thread?

I've also tried adding just one policy for one-way traffic but I still haven't been able to ping the other machine.

PS perhaps a mod can move this thread to the networking department if people in this section don't know?
