I am on a lan where you must have a username and password to get on the internet. I have this, but not sure where to put it. I am using madrake 9.0 beta. I can ping all of my network and websites, but am unable to open sites because of fore mentioned problem. Any help is appreciated
In the mandrake control center, there is a networking section that you use to set that up. You should find a wizard somewhere in it to help you get it set up.
You will probably want to disable/uninstall the firewall as it will prevent anything from reaching the internet. At least, I had to.
I used drakconf to set up the proxy but saw nothign to put in a user name and password. I used netconf to setup my network settings. I also have the firewall disabled. Not sure were else to try.
