If you're using a broadband which is connected trough a regular nic, then you can use (apart from the graphical tools) pppoe. For dialup, there should be a ppp application for that. For wireless...well, it depends a bit about the wireless card whether or not there are native Linux drivers for it (i.e. is it "supported" right out of the box or do you need to use other drivers instead).

So, what's the wireless card's model? Is it recognized, i.e. can you see it in the networking tools/configurations?

Cool

Try here...http://tldp.org/HOWTO/HOWTO-INDEX/howtos.html for Wireless Networking in Linux. After reading...www.wiki.com for details. After changing YOUR settings, try "man Pages" for tweaking YOUR system. Good luck.
