Info on setting up internal web/dns caching server.

Hello,

I'm running Mandrake 9.0. I've setup 3 other linux machines to share the same dial-up connection out to the internet.

I would like to setup an internal web/dns caching server on the Linux box that is acting as the gateway/firewall rightnow for the other 3 machines, to minimize the amount of bandwidth used outbound if possible.

Does anyone have any opinions on what would be the easiest/best to install and some possible links on where or how to set this up.

Thanks,

You should probably look at squid:
http://www.squid-cache.org

If you use smoothwall:
http;//www.smoothwall.org

for your gateway/firewall like me then squid is included.
