You can rebuild the distro.
You can add in a driver by opening terminal as I recall from manual. Of course you'd need a wired connection available. Which would be faster and easier. Even if you had to buy a cable.
You can bring you own supported usb wifi nic.
However, usually intel stuff is supported by default I'd think. I'd boot to clonezilla and start looking at things like lspci and such.
Correct lspci did find my WiFi nic.
But why can't I connect to router trough my Wifi?
I have cable and use it for now, but would like to be able to use my wifi...
OK rebuilding my clonezilla - how to?
Is it man #something# in clonezilla - or?
And write what to make sure the wifi are working?
If i write : modprobe -r iwlwifi ; modprobe iwlwifi
That does not work, the disk answer:
modprobe ERROR: ../libmod/libkmod-module.c:799 kmod_module_remove_module() could not remove 'iwlwifi': Operation not permitted
I can't ping my router?!
This looks strange, because i have no problems to backup or restore, when booting on clonezilla with standard settings?? With cable - Wifi not working.
I have cable on to router.
If i enter the ifconfig -a command, it shows no connection to my router.
So what to do now?
Regards

When I choose the "Enter shell" to get command line, instead of starting Clonzilla, and prompt #iw dev#, I got nothing...
No wlan0 or similar - nothing at all?!
I do not understand this, because if I start Clonezilla, there is no problem to make backup or restore to/from my NAS trough the network cable..
This is very strange to me, because the Intel Nic should be very known in the Linux world?!
For now it looks like I have no choice but to use network cable.
During this exercise I use cable to make sure to be able to download driver if necessary, but no connection gives to chance to install driver - or anything else.
Intel AC8265 driver was added to 4.6 kernel, what version is your kernel? Also, it needs firmware, it can be downloaded from here. Once the driver is installed and the firmware is loaded it will appear in 'iw dev' output.
