how to create usb drive a linux bootable

i want to install linux in 10 others computers which dont hav floppy as well as cd-rom in it. I want a bootable usb so that i can boot through usb and then
install linux through kickstart which is stored in nfs server

if plz anyone tell me how to create usb a linux bootable

I have never needed to boot from USB but I found a howto using KNOPPIX here:
