How do i set a static ip in Linux
How do i set a static ip in Linux
I have a DMZ set up on my firewall. The nick that is the dmz’s ip address is 192.10.10.1.
I have a Linux server on the DMZ. Caldera server 3.1. I use webmin to administer it.
What I want to do is set the ip on the Linux server to be this
Ip:192.10.10.2
Mask 255.255.255.0
Dg:192.10.10.1
Dns:192.10.10.1
I have put these settings on my laptop and connected to it when it is in the DMZ. So the card firewall cable are working fine.
How do I put the ip information above in the Linux server using webmin? I have found where you enter the info in webmin and have tried entering it. But I just can’t connect to the server using webmin from outside the dmz. What should the broadcast ip be? Ifconfig doesn’t show what the gateway is. How can I tell what it is?
Thanks
