I am using fedora2.0 and wanted to connect to teh nternet, but I don't know how. tell me please how I can make it work
I have a cat5 , password user id from isp. Thats all.
Thanks a bunch
Well, it seems you might need to get a few more pieces of information, first. I am not sure what "cat5" is. You have a user ID, and a password, but you also need some sort of relevant connection information.
If you have dialup, you ISP would have to give you a number to call to start a PPP connection.
If you have ADSL, you could just try running "pppoeconfig", but I think you may need to know the IP addresses of your nameservers. Also, it would help to know if your provider uses PPOE or something else... Did they give you and instructions? If you can tell us who they are, maybe we could even look up the info on their web site.
