I have an external serial modem (modem blaster). I have tried to use kppp for the dialer... everytime i try to get the modem to dial out i get "sorry modem is busy"

I believe the modem is configured correctly.../dev/modem-whatever that means lol....In windows it is com 1 (not sure what that means either)... someone please help me get my linux mchine onto the net..,

thanks for the help!

Maybe starting to work (modem blaster)

I went into Query Modem and kept getting: modem busy. So, I went to the device options and played around with some different settings.... instead of /dev/modem i change it to /ttyS0 and then went back to modem query... it says it found my modem...success! or so i thought... i filled out every entry in the kppp accounts... then tried to dial up... i am getting a dial tone and even a connection (i think) but then i keep getting the ppp daemon died unexpectedly!

anyone knows what may be wrong with it?
