Getting NIC MAC adress
Hi
How can I get MAC adress of a NIC having only the ip for it.

You can use "arp".

You may have to ping the address first to get it into the arp cache. Then run the command: For example......
arp -a 192.168.0.1

use /sbin/arping as root.
