gettin ipsec/freeswan to run

I (newbie at his best) installed freeswan package and read the configuration instructions that came with the package, but still there are some questions i have:

ipsec verify gives me the message:

Checking your system to see if IPsec was installed and started correctly
Version check and ipsec on-path [OK]
Checking for KLIPS support in kernel [OK]
Checking for RSA private key (/etc/ipsec.secrets) [OK]
Checking that pluto is running [OK]
DNS checks.
Looking for forward key for neuwegerhomelx [FAILED]
Does the machine have at least one non-private address [FAILED]

What do i have to do to get the last two rows handled?? The doc reads that i got to put the hostkey into my DNS - whatever that means. What non-private address is meant?

Furthermore i didn't get an idea so far how i can automate the commands
"modprobe ipsec" and "/usr/lib/ipsec/pluto" - can anyone assist me or give me some links to basic tutorials on writing scripts (is it the right expression for the linux-type of batch-files?).

Please assist me in getting a step nearer to letting my damned Windoze-Partition rest in peace ;-)

THX
