Finding and including all necessary header files for network programming in cygwin

I am totally new to linux and need to compile a simple client server program from a book i am using(unix network programming by Richard W.Stevens ) and the author has used his own header 'unp.h'.At what location in gcc do i place this header? Also, if there is another specific header that gcc is missing is there any way I can find out how?...thanks in advance

The following link is example of UDP client code. You can include these header file instead of unp.h for system stuff.
