Question Find out bandwidth from IP address?

Hi,
I just have a quick question.
Is there a way to find out what kind of connection a certain IP address has?
I've used nslookup, whois and traceroute.
I'd like to find out how a computer is connected to the internet...OC3, T3, T1, DSL or Cable.
Thanks

Not that I know of, aside from doing a WHOIS, and finding out what type of service their ISP offers.

not that I know of. you could do a who is on the IP and find out the provider, that might point you in the right direction.
This is a good sitehttp://dnsstuff.com/
Why are you trying to find out?

Tanks

Thanks guys.
I didn't think there was a way.
I just wanted to make sure, as there are lots of commands out there which I know nothing about.

The computer on this IP address provides a service which I would like to provide. They have lots of customers, but no competition, really. I'm just wondering how much bandwidth I might need to provide the same (or better) quality of service.
