File shareing on linux/windows

hi, i have a network and i want to share files on my windows and linux systems and be able to view and use my files from any of my pc either linux or windows, the network says connected but i cant see my linux shared files/drive from windows, same goes for linux,i am using a 4 way smc wireless/lan router(SMCWBR14-N2)
i will be glad if i get quick and good help.....THANKS

You'll want to do some research on Samba. This is commonly used for sharing files between Windows and Linux. There are other options but I would recommend using Samba.
