File Permissions

Hi,

I've set up the groups:

joebloggs(1000) and goodguys(500)

I want to allow only users in the goodguys(500) group to run /usr/bin/lynx and not users in any higher groups i.e. 1000

How would I chmod lynx to do this?

At the moment lynx is owned by root.

Give this a go - change its group to 'goodguys' then make it only executable by the owner and the group...
Code:
chown root:goodguys /usr/bin/lynx
then
Code:
chmod 770 /usr/bin/lynx
cheers

Jamie...
