fetchmail freezes on accounts

I have set up fetchmail on a Mandrake 10.1 box and I get the following when I check the remote server (pop3) ----

fetchmail: 6.2.5 querying myaccount (protocol POP3) at Sun Jun 5 22:29:26 2005: poll started
fetchmail: POP3< +OK Qpopper (version 4.0.5) at myisp.net starting.
fetchmail: POP3> CAPA
fetchmail: POP3< +OK Capability list follows
fetchmail: POP3< TOP
fetchmail: POP3< USER
fetchmail: POP3< LOGIN-DELAY 0
fetchmail: POP3< EXPIRE 0
fetchmail: POP3< UIDL
fetchmail: POP3< RESP-CODES
fetchmail: POP3< AUTH-RESP-CODE
fetchmail: POP3< X-MANGLE
fetchmail: POP3< X-MACRO
fetchmail: POP3< X-LOCALTIME Sun, 5 Jun 2005 21:48:14 +0100
fetchmail: POP3< IMPLEMENTATION Qpopper-version-4.0.5
fetchmail: POP3< .
fetchmail: POP3> USER myusername
fetchmail: POP3< +OK Password required for myusername.
fetchmail: POP3> PASS *
fetchmail: POP3< +OK myusername has 1 visible message (1 hidden) in 2236 octets.
fetchmail: POP3> STAT
fetchmail: POP3< +OK 1 2236
1 message for myusername at myaccount (2236 octets).
fetchmail: POP3> LIST 1
fetchmail: POP3< +OK 1 1666
fetchmail: POP3> RETR 1
fetchmail: POP3< +OK 1666 octets
reading message myusername@myisp.net:1 of 1 (1666 octets)

and then I get "fetchmail: smtp listener protocol error" after a while. I know it is my problem --- but I don't understand. Please help.

Thanks

edit : I am using Webmin to configure this server
