I've been looking for days to find a problem similar to mine, but cannot. If I am repeating a thread, I apologize. My problem is that I cannot access the internet with my Linux box, nor is it accessible from the outside.
My Linux box, running Fedora Core 1, as my other computers running other OS's, is connected to a D-Link DI-604 router. I've set my linux box to have the static IP address 192.168.0.138, enabled virtual server HTTP and set that IP address as "DMZ."
I can make connections from the other computers on my LAN through ssh and with a browser, pull up http pages. If I try to connect through my WAN IP, I get nothing. From the Linux box, I can ping the other machines on my network, but cannot ping anything outside.
I've checked and double-checked the settings on the router, rebooted the router, rebooted the cable modem. No help.
ifconfig looks like this:
Code:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:03:6D:12:44:22

I've looked at /etc/hosts, /etc/host.allow, /etc/host.deny, iptables, and nothing seems to lend itself to finding the answer of why I have a block here. I'm frustrated, tired, and giving up for the evening.
I would be thankful for some assistance.
