Extra interface is appearing in "ifconfig" output
Hi All,
When i issue "ifconfig" command in Centos 5.5, there is one extra interface is appearing, could any one please help me in removing that?
If you see the below example "__tmp1755126292" s the extra interface which i want to remove.

Initially there are 3 interfaces, the naming is wrong for one of the interface "__tmp1755126292"

Open the eth1/eth2 and verify which one with "DEVICE=__tmp1755126292"
if you dont want extra interface then open both configuration and change "ONBOOT=no"

All the device names are proper.

Sorry, I didnt get you
I am doing weblogic upgradation. When i was running script for upgrade it was saying "invalid network interface list", when i checked i found one extra interface "__tmp1755126292". As of now i did "ifconfig __tmp1755126292 down". now script is working fine.
But still i dont know how that extra interface is appearing
