Experiences with DD-WRT

Outstanding! I went over the default interface for the router before I switched to DD-WRT.

It took < 1 minute to read all the features of the current interface.

DD-WRT took about 5.

I can't believe all the options available. I can even control the TX power.

The switch from one to the other was < 5 minutes. The longest part was the install time (as it should be).

I want to get a router setup for hotspot functionality and deploy one in my neighbors run-down apartment because I know that will be a big hit. Especially if I could then build or find a dish that could cast the signal across the ENTIRE complex (approx 1sqmi), even better!

You would likely have better luck meshing them than trying to broadcast over a large area.
