Down on Networking
Hey,
I'm about to make another attempt at setting up a network with the following specifications:
-Password sharing/management between systems
-File sharing. Both /home dir and a shared dir for all users.
-Print sharing, printer on server (linux)
-Internet sharing.
I have never managed all of these. The main one being internet sharing. I haven't found a HOWTO that I could understand or that worked for the distro I had at the time (I've tried a few - distros and HOWTOs).
If I can get the internet sharing up and running I'm sure the rest will be easy. Although Windows XP has me baffled for file sharing.
My Network:
Server:
Yoper Linux 2.1.0 box
Client 1:
Windows XP box
Client 2:
Windows 98 box
Client 3:
Yoper 2.1.0 laptop
PS: How much of what I want can LDAP do?
