Domain policy on Samba

Is there a way to disable floppy, cdrom and usb on Windows XP machines that are members of a Samba domain? I tried to put an NTConfig.POL file in the Netlogon share but it doesn't seem to do the job. It is possible that the policy file generated by me is not well configured or the machine that logs on cannot read it. I didn't find any logs. Is there someone that solved this problem before? May it be that i'm missing something or it is not solvable at all.

well like was explained in this post, I’m not sure, but I don't think it's possible to apply GPO's to XP machines in the conventional way
