hi there y'all..



ive just installed redhat 8.0 on my computer.
it's a dual boot with windoze 2000.

Im connected to the internet with a little adsl-router
that is connected to my adsl-modem.
My adsl-router works with dhcp to give the computers
their adresses so they can access the internet..


But....
there is a problem, redhat seems to lose the dns-connection or
something like that. it happens totally at random, but usually
in about ten minutes after i have logged on. sometimes almost atonce.
If i log out, and log in again, the problem is fixed, and i can
browse again, and download stuff, until it happens again.
the browser then wont resolve hostnames, and mozilla seems
to slow down, if i try to ping an internet-adres from the terminal
it takes a long time, or it just times out.
But while mozilla cant resolve hostnames, i still can continue downloading, so the internet connection is still alive.

I never had these problems with my windows-clients, i have four of theme, and theyve been working perfectly with my adsl-router for about a year, sometimes 24-7.

Is there anybody outthere who can help me with this ?
