Question did ipv6 stop my network

I have a Compaq Armada 7400 running RH9 that I recently upgraded to kernel 2.6. It by default implemented ipv6 and now my network does not work. Was it the implementation of ipv6 or something I heard about PnP being turned on that caused my network to stop functioning? Any help would be appreciated.

No. Unless your ISP issued your a IPv6 address it shouldnt matter. Check your ifconfig eth0 , make sure all your addresses are correct.

IPV6 problem

OK; maybe I didn't post a good question. At this point, what I would really like to do is use the 2.6 kernel on Redhat 9.0 but still use IPV4 instead of IPV6. How do I do that?

Also; since I am using an Armada 7400 with a Compaq 10/100 pcmcia card, will the 2.6 kernel support this hardward configuration?
