dhclient lease renew

Hi all,

I am running RH8 with pretty much a standard install, I believe that dhclient is the installed dhcp client by default.

What I am trying to find is what process does dhclient take when renewing a lease, specifically where might be a good spot to restart my firewall sevice.

cheers

Hi ozplanit,
I believe the processes are dhclient-enter-hooks and dhclient-exit-hooks. I found this information on the manpage for dhclient. I am currently trying to get the samething to work for me. I am having mixed results in my environment, RH9.0 with ADSL support.

Try this link for the manpage
