i have just installed a debian 3.0 system. All other components of the system work well except the network. The network doesn't work at all.
here are some information about my network,

netstat -rn:
----------------------------------------------------
debian:~# netstat -rn

// i am able to ping these 2 ips and 192.168.0.1(my localachine),
//but no other ip
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1492 Metric:1

----------------------------------------------------
note that i am able to ping 218.1.0.231 and renew my dynamic ip each time i set up my network, so it seems that i have connected to the internet.
i am really pullzed...
Thanks in advance!!

I think your problem is in your /etc/network/interfaces because you have given the gateway as 192.168.0.1 and it is looking at that address. Try rem'ing (#) that line and then try it. I am not sure if you are using a broadband router.
