D-Link DFE-690TXD pppoe issues with Redhat 9.0


Hi,
I have a HP 4150B with a D-Link DFE-690TXD network card and try as I might I am not able to connect to my DSL provider (yahoo sbc). I have used adsl-setup to set it up but it does not work. Below are the details from dmesg. Please help.

hope this is not too late...you need PPPoE software not just ppp dialing software.

here you can find:

()EnterNet 100v1.300.000 (Linux) [pppoe connection software]
()Installation Guides
()Other drivers etc

url: download.pacbell.net
generic login: dslreguser
generic pwd: reguser
[or you can also use your own email addy and pwd to login]


I do not know what the linux version of EnterNet is like [windows is not too great] but I hope this helps. nb: Check and see if RAS do a linux version.

if you search this site for pppoe you will also find links to other pppoe software [I have seen the links but can't remember the threads] and those may be better than Enternet300. Try it anyhow it may work well under Linux.
