cups sharing printer

Hi
I want to use my printer which is installed on box1 also on box2.
in the kde control center, i can see the printer, but when I send test pages, or anything else, it just doesn't get printed, and I don't even get an error message. Perhaps I have to indicate somewhere that I am sharing the printer? but still it's strange, I can see it, but I can't print.

any help appreciated

Are both machines linux or is one of them windows? You may have some luck with one of these.

or

good luck.
