coral version 1 ??


hey there,
I have to windows PC's home networked and i want to run linux on the old one and use that one to connect to Internet and share the net connection with the windows pc. For security.....

I have red hat 9 dual booting with win98SE on new PC , but i haven't enough ram on old PC to run redhat9.
I have a old version of coral version 1 i think...
Would it be easy to set coral up to do what I want?????

Old PC specs.....
200 MHz
32meg ram
4 meg video
2 gig hard drive

Thanks for any help

ACK! coral is by far the worst distro i've ever used. you won't have a problem running redhat really, unless their installer won;t work... just don't use high end window managers etc.... i run redhat 7.3 on a pretty identical machine without issue.

hey there,
Yeah I know Coral is crap installed it today(man what a head ache)...lasted about one hour, reformatted haha.

Well the red hat 9 minimum specs say 64meg,128meg recommended , I have only 32meg.

I booted the install up and it wouldn't work in X went straight to text installer.....theres no probs there , been there done that ;-)
Just don't know how bloody slow it would run?

But hey only one way to find out ....haha
