connect two linux system in two diferent places using internet


Dear ALL,

Can anyone tell me how to transfer data between two linux PCs at two different location,for example india and tiawan.The two systems has mail and internet facility.

Do you have control over the firewalls that are between them (if any)? There are many ways to transfer files between two machines, but the availability of them will depend on what sort of access is allowed between them.

For instance, if you can only get web traffic in or out, you will have to stick with HTTP downloads.

HI,

I have http,ftp and nfs facility available.
I have tried using ftp and nfs.but in nfs i can mount shared nfs folder,but cant copy the data from mounted folder to some other folder.
i am getting "nfs: server 122.116.113.94 not responding, still trying" error.
How can i use http for data transfer?
