Configuring CUPS with Networked printers

I am setting up printers with CUPS they are HP printers and i do have the HPLIP package installed. however when i originally set them up it asks for a socket or and address. i realize the format that needs to be entered is

hp:/net/MODELNAME?ip=IPADDRESS

however i know their is a command that i can type in to discover this for me to ensure no typo's i used the command once but then in my infinite wisdom i shutdown my computer and went away for the weekend. now i have forgotten the command and it is driving me up the wall.

Does anyone know the command?

If it's a networked HP printer you probably need the following. At least for JetDirect capable printers and all the HP's I've ever used on the network

socket://192.168.x.x:9100

Or whatever ip address you're using. It should ask you about which driver you want after you setup the ip info.
