Do you mean it is an improved version of dhclient?
What is the differences between them?
Originally, I had problem with dhclient in Mandriva, but a few days ago it took some time to be able to connect to the network in the same place with Debian, so I thought it would be better to replace dhclient with dhcpcd to prevent similar problems.
So, does anyone know the differences between isc-dhcp-client and dhcp3-client?
Which one is better?
Edit: I think they are the same...
Edit2: I've tested network connection in a place where dhclient couldn't work well before.
Sometimes it could connect to the wireless network, but sometimes it couldn't.
kde-networkmanager just gave me a message to re-enter the WPA key, but it was right.
(Anyway, I could see the wireless connection itself is in associated state, but dhclient couldn't get an IP address.)
That's why I would like to change default dhcp client to dhcpcd.
Maybe it seems I have to patch networkmanager or use wicd instead...
