Can I get sound over VNC?
I am using x11vnc server on Linux Slackware 14.2 and RealVNC viewer on Window 7. Is there any way my viewer can get audio over the VNC link? I'm using the viewer on Windows to read email on the Linux host, but cannot listen to attached audio messages.

I don't think so. My experience has been that, if you play sound on the host computer, it the sound will come out of the host computer's speakers, not on remote client's, because, with a VNC, you are operating the host computer from afar.
