Bonding, which mode for mass throughput.

I was tinkering with LTSP and decided I wanted more output from my server. I looked and found bonding. Which mode to make the upload to the switch basically 2gb over 2 lines, or 4gb over 4 lines to the switch? Idea is to be able to run more clients over the same switch since the up and down from the server to the switch would be X amount more bandwidth than a single gigabit line.

Not a production environment so I don't need redundancy, just doubling, tripling, quadrupling my bandwidth between the server and the switch.

That would all depend on what you final goal is. But having more ports in your bond doesn't mean that every system that connects to it is going to get the full throughput of the port-channel. Port-channel only means you get more connections not necessarily more band width between end points. If you are only doing LTSP then bond-0 should be enough.
