Bonding for outbound performance

When bonding multiple gigE ports using mode=0 (balanced-rr) will I be able to send data at aggregrated speed of the combined interfaces or does bonding only increase inbound performance?

in general it's the outbound which is improved most with this internal bonding, but it depends a lot on the methods used, and what kind of usage the server has. Indeed a crude method like balanced-rr can *ONLY* relate to outbound speed, as it has no control over how traffic is sent to it without either bonding on the switch side or higher level methods like selective arping i.e. tell server A that my IP is on this mac, but tell server B that it's on this other one, thereby splitting inbound traffic.
