better NIS passwords !!!


i'm using a NIS server for central user authentication, once the user logs in & if the user types yppasswd he can change his own password, but the users can put simple passwords but it should be at least 6 characters, HOW TO PREVENT USERS FROM PUTTING SIMPLE PASSWORDS IN NIS???

PLS HELP

You could always use nis through PAM and use the PAM modules to validate the password first.

Google for "pam nis" returned: http://snow.nl/dist/xhtmlc/ch10s04.html

PAM and NIS are both incredibly simple interfaces, and should present no problems to this.
