Apache problem

My httpd was on and it was working well. Today I have observed that it is not working and I tried to start httpd from GUI and I get the following error :
Code:
httpd failed. The error was: Stopping httpd: [FAILED]

Starting httpd: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
[FAILED]
If I want to restart it from shell, I am getting the message as :
Code:
[root@localhost anindya]# /sbin/service httpd stop
Stopping httpd: [FAILED]
[root@localhost anindya]# /sbin/service httpd start
Starting httpd: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
                                                           [FAILED]
[root@localhost anindya]# /sbin/service httpd restart
Stopping httpd: [FAILED]
Starting httpd: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
                                                           [FAILED]
What is the problem?

post the output from 'lsof -i :80'

Sounds like a zombied httpd process that won't die...

Thank you for your reply....
I used the command from bash shell but it returned nothing. I am sending you the bash output :
Code:
[root@localhost anindya]# /usr/sbin/lsof -i :80
[root@localhost anindya]#
What to do?

Regards

Nothing in that file.....totally blank
Code:
[root@localhost anindya]# less /var/log/httpd/error_log | more
[root@localhost anindya]#

........./var/log/messages
The output of that long file cannot be sent through this forum as it supports up to 25000 characters and the contents of that file is beyond that limit. If you can give me your mail id or tell me how to send it to you I can do that as well.
my mail id : learner.linux@gmail.com
