Apache mimetypes

Hi
I have apache-webserver, but it cannot display .png images correctly. When i include .png-image in html-tag it displays it correctly, but when i try to open image by writing address to browser, image seems to be text.

Is it because wrong mimetypes? If it is, how can I change them by using .htaccess-files?

This line will configure Apache to send the right mime type for .png files.

AddType image/png .png

You should be able to change this from a .htaccess file, provided that you Apache config allows you to.
