Any way to load ndiswrapper module at boot?

Hello, sorry if this is the wrong forum. I wasn't sure whether to put this in the Fedora section or this one.

Well, I'm running Fedora 12 LXDE spin on a netbook (Asus EeePC) and have successfully installed a wireless driver using ndiswrapper. The only problem is that every time I reboot, I need to use the "modprobe ndiswrapper" command to load the module.

Is there a way to load the ndiswrapper module during the boot process?

Look in /etc for modprobe.preload or modules. As root manually add ndiswrapper. It should look like something below.

# /etc/modprobe.preload: kernel modules to load at boot time.
#
# This file should contain the names of kernel modules that are
# to be loaded at boot time, one per line. Comments begin with
# a `#', and everything on the line after them are ignored.
# this file is for module-init-tools (kernel 2.5 and above) ONLY
# for old kernel use /etc/modules
ndiswrapper
nvram
evdev

Hi Canas,

Using GUI (graphical user interface)

If you are using fedora 12 with gnome desktop environment; click system on tool bar:

than select Administration > Network;

at the network configuration panel highlight device in question (wireless device)
select edit tab > ensure activate device when computer starts, has been checked with a tick.

than press ok when prompted.

I hope this is of help.
