allowing hamachi through firewall

I have an ubuntu 8.10 box running in my girlfriends uni halls, and it has two ethernet interfaces

eth1 is university lan where the net comes from
eth0 shares the internet to her laptop

i also have hamachi installed to be able to access the ubuntu box remotely.

For her internet to work i have to run firestarter and turn the firewall on, however that means I can no longer access the ubuntu box over the hamachi VPN

Is there a way i can allow all hamachi traffic through the firewall so than I can vnc etc the ubuntu box, and keep her laptop online?

Cheers guys

Thanks.

At the risk of sounding dumb.... I set hamachi to port XXXX, and open that port using firestarter on eth1 (the internet interface) and no matter what port i try to connect to over hamachi, it will work

E.G. i want to conntect to webmin on the server from home, so i would go to https://5.x.x.x:10000 and regardless of what port i have setup on the server and allowed through, it would work

Did you configure the firewall for UDP?
