aironet 350

I am using a Cisco Aironet 350 on a Panasonic Toughbook M34, with RH9. I had no issues with detecting and configuring the card, it works great, except that it will not work until I run acu (the Aironet Client Utility). I don't make any changes, I just start acu & close it right away and then the card becomes associated, and works fine. I believe I have all the settings correctly in my ifcfg-eth0 file. My status light is solid green, and the activity light is a very rapidly blinking amber before I start acu, and after I close acu. Does acu create a file with all the settings somewhere, and do I need to copy these settings into ifcfg-eth0 or wireless.opt?

It wouldn't be that big of for me to have to start acu everytime, but these Toughbooks are used on forklifts by people who are logging into a telnet session on the console and have no method of doing this, and I wouldn't want them to anyways.

Thanks!

Auto Configuration

In order to have your card configed at boot, you need to have the bcard script /opt/cisco/bin/bcard loaded into one of your startup scripts. These are the scripts that start certain services such as servers and pcmcia drivers. You can usualy find them in /etc/rc.d/.. depending on your linux distro. Try finding the /etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia script and adding the line /opt/cisco/bin/bcard in the file.

More detailed info on how to do this can be found on Cisco's website.
