Smile again squid with php


hello
i am doing authentication using squid and it's working fine separately.i am using php4 along with apache and mysql.my default start page is a login page where the user enters the username and password and if authenticated he can access his profile and such oter stuffs,but i want that as he access my login or start page he should be popped with the squid authentication rather than my default or start html page.can squid be related to php or via apache,how can this be achieved??
