Can anybody tell me how to start my adsl connection by a normal user, when I try to run it it says:
adsl-start: You must be root to run this script

adsl-setup

during the adsl-setup a question is asked whether or not the device can be brought up by a normal user...

also you can simply open the file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0 (pppX to suit ur case) and either add or adjust a line to the following:

USERCTL=yes
