Adding a Linux Machine to Linux Domain

Folks,

Perhaps you can help me. My company's IT admin just left our employ, and I've picked up his job. I'm somewhat familiar with Linux, having ran it at home. I've been tasked with adding a Whitebox Linux machine to the domain that is currently in place. PDC is a Slackware box running Samba 3. What exactly do I need to do to get the Whitebox machine on the domain? Any help you can give me with this I'd greatly appreciate.

but by the sounds of things you want to edit a different PAM module, to be able to login on the machine with your domain password you'll want to edit the 'system-auth' PAM module. also i don't think the pop3 PAM module on the site above will be suited for your needs, so you'll have to look into PAM.

my suggestion is use the webmin pam module, it's pretty easy to get the hang of.

OK....

The main box (samba server that will be acting as DC) is Mandrake 9.2, just to clarify. How do I set up the client box (Whitebox Linux) to connect to this already up and running Samba 3 domain? Samba is up and running, acting as PDC (and being Pretty Damn Cool about it too). There are perhaps 30 other Windows machines on the domain, but mine will be the first Linux box, if I can figure out how to do it....still a realllllll newb at linux networking.
