access point


Hi all I have an eee pc 701 linux with wireless access points i can connect to. Now i have connected my desktop to it via rj45 cable. I want to access the eee pc internet from my desktop so I can have internet on it. The desktop is running fedora 14 64 bit. How can this be done. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to LQ!

You don't say which version of linux you are running on the EEE701, but if it is the original xandros, which IIRC is based on debian, then this ubuntu guide to "Internet connection sharing" should help you. Scroll down to the part that is titled Ubuntu Internet Gateway Method (iptables)
